Named after the man who regularly ends a game of "normal" Chess with more time than he began the game with. The event is played as a Christmas party event with a cheerful “glass” often being on the menu.

In the event of two players finishing on the same score at the end of event the score of their pairing will be used to settle positions. If the score of their games is equal then the player with the most wins is placed first. If this still does not separate two or more players then the player with the lower grading is placed first.

A number of us partake in a curry afterwards.
